The Challenge
ElksNation launched without an existing audience, strategy, or operational framework.
With a part-time team and limited resources, the challenge was to build a recognizable football community that could engage younger fans while supporting the Edmonton Elks organization.

My approach
Rather than treating social media as a place to publish content, I treated it as a community-building platform.
I treated Elksnation as a living extension of the Edmonton Elks brand, built from the fan’s perspective. My approach focused on creating a consistent, human social voice and capturing the culture, community and FOMO that make live sports about so much more than the game itself.

Reflection
Launching ElksNation reinforced something I’ve carried into every project since: simplify the systems, focus on doing a few things exceptionally well, and create genuine moments of connection that make people feel seen.
